We have been preparing excellent food for over 17 years.
How it all began
Our Pizzeria GIALLOROSSA was opened on Friday 13th in April 2001.
After long reflections, thinking and searching for inspiration, the idea to build a sliced pizza-style snack (pizza taglio) was the idea of building a former garage in Jakubská Street No. 2 house.
The name GIALLOROSSA was created thanks to the sympathy for the city football club AS ROMA, which has club colors yellow – giallo and red – rossa. We love football, Rome and pizza too, and in 2001, after 19 years Rome won the scudetto, so it couldn’t be better.
Throughout the year, we offered our customers a variety of fresh, crispy, 30 cm and Maxi 45 cm pizzas that you could and can still buy on the spot or order by phone. On Friday and Saturday, when you get somewhere around the Old Town Square and you are hungry, we are open for you in 2 – 2 hours to morning.
Pizza Restaurant Café
In the spring of 2002 we managed to get a neighboring space in the house and we put into operation a restaurant – an internet café with seats for about 30 people. We have also added salads to our delicious pizza – that means you can have lunch with us, have a coffee with an excellent homemade tiramisu in the afternoon and sit with friends at dinner with good Czech or Italian wine in the evening.
In 2004, we refurbished the storage area for the kitchen, and since then we can serve you cold and warm appetizers, soups, pasta, and well-groomed meats.
2006 – we are opening a new branch – GIALLOROSSA fast food – Prague 3, on Jiřího z Poděbrad square.
In addition to the traditional Italian menu, we specialize in lunch, we cook different tasty soup and main course every weekday. Vietnamese bun-cha, or Pleskavici stuffed with Balkan cheese.
